Fire-resistant Glass
Fires can start anywhere, and it’s important that fires, in the event they cannot be extinguished by traditional means, should be contained for as long as possible. Fire-resistant glass is designed to contain flames and inflammable gases, but not designed to prevent heat transfer.

Fire-insulating glass is also available that does the same thing, but also prevents heat transfer to the other side. Our wired glass usually comes with either a 30 or 60 minute fire-resistance rating, but we are able to source from all major glass suppliers if a longer duration is required.

If requested, we can also provide details on full glazing installation solutions to fully maximize the benefits of your new glass. If the glass is to be installed in doors, side panels, or low-height windows, our wired glass conforms to BS 6206 Class C for safety glass where necessary.

Falkirk boarding up services

If you’ve had an accident late at night, we won’t be able to replace your glass immediately. In this case, we will board up your window with plywood boards to maintain security, and arrange for the glass to be fitted once it is available. We operate a 24-hour rapid-response Falkirk boarding-up service, to give you peace of mind when you need it most. We can also board-up large Falkirk commercial premises when the owner has vacated the building, or is in the process of a large-scale refurbishment, where the building needs to be protected against squatters and other intruders. All boarding-up jobs in Falkirk and the local area include a free quote on replacement glass if required.
